I was focusing on a Marsh Harrier and when I put the camera down I saw this Robin perched on the edge of my table. He just stared at me and patiently waited as I reset the camera. I still had my zoom on and almost fell off my seat leaning to get focus. The images of this bird are among my favourite sets....

Castle Hill is an amazing location for Landscape and Astro photography. Used a Nikon Z6ii & 20mm 1.8 lens along with a lens warmer plus the Photo Pills planner. The moon was brighter than expected - 5 days old but it actually did us a big favour in lighting up the rocks with the Milky Way core above it. I was on a photo workshop in the park with about 8 others. We set up for the night in the Cathedral Overlook campground. At about 3:30 am, the leader got us up and we drove, then hiked to this spot. We took astro shots, then waited in place for a couple hours until early light on the cathedral formations. This is was a merging of the two exposures that created this image.

The day before taking the shot, I drove up to RMNP to scout a possible Milky Way shot with Nymph Lake in the foreground. The scouting was successful as it did look like I'd be able to have both the lake and the Milky Way in the shot, so I made a plan to head up there again the next day (July 3rd) and capture what I planned. Prior to heading back up to RMNP, while looking at the map of the area, I noticed another possible location where Fall River would be in the foreground and in my mind, having
