In this workshop, we will explore the art of capturing the beauty and magic of the winter season through photography.
Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process of understanding and applying the principles of photography, including composition, exposure, and lighting. We will cover topics such as using natural light to create a mood, capturing the sparkle of snow and ice, and experimenting with different angles and perspectives to create striking images.
This event runs for 3 hours from 1:30-4:30pm
Portraiture With Natural Light

This class is your time to learn and gain a proper understanding of Composition and the importance of light to help boost your photography skills.
We, as a class, will be taking turns photographing each other without any on-camera flash or strobe photography. Just the available light, we will walk through, troubleshoot, make adjustments and capture a portrait successfully.
We will also learn how to use light modifiers like a reflector to help capture appropriately exposed shots in not-so-great lighting.
This is a fun interactive class where you will learn the skills to be behind the camera and in front of the camera.
This 3 hour event will run from 1:00-4:00pm to allow everyone a chance to capture and be captured. Sunset will be 4:33pm, so we will have some golden hour lighting.

We will look at the skeletal remains of the past weeds and wildflowers and create a new way of looking at the landscape. Let's venture together to create a new set of landscape images for our palette this year. You will be given challenges , have collaboration and guidance on this unique journey.

We will be using natural water reflections around the lake and seeking out man-made reflective surfaces in the area. We will explore how we can use reflections to add depth and intrigue to our images. Reflections can help us to show our subject from an unusual, or from multiple, points of view. We can use reflections to abstract our subject or to make perfect mirror images. We will venture around the lake to find out how to frame our views of the lake and reflections with our photographic eyes.

We will look at the contrast and using textures. How does the camera see the image and how do we create Black and White images in a camera or in post-production. We will look for some good examples and set some exercises.
